Limits of using bing cashback

Unlike AdWords, Bing is a little more complex. You can’t just sign up, define a couple of keywords and write your first ad. Bing cashback relies on bing as the search engine which connects the customer (searching for a product) and your online shop.

Microsoft keeps track of about 8 million keywords. Plus the rebates that every advertiser chooses (and changes over time). Therefore the tracking of products and rebates is highly automated.

Also, there are several limits as to who can actually use bing cashback:

Your company needs to have its headquarters in the US.

Bing casback aims at e-commerce stores: your site has to be a retail shop (end-customer focused) and be able to provide physical fulfillment for products

Note: I found that you can actually shop for e-books (pdf files) with bing cashback. I am not sure yet if your store does need to be able to have physical fulfillment for some products but not all of them. Does anybody know?

Also, your company need to be able to create and maintain a product data feed. Microsoft needs your shop’s info for its automated update system Don’t want to show potential customers wrong prices, wrong rebate percentages or items, that you stopped selling!

Last but not least, you have to be able implement the tracking pixel to your web site’s order confirmation page.

So long,

Frederik
